tools, once reserved for highprofile
users, to everyone, said Nick Statt in
TheVerge.com. All users will be able to limit
their notifications to people they follow on
the social network, giving themselves more
control over what they see by hiding tweets
from random strangers and other would-be
abusers. Twitter is also making its “quality
filter” available to everyone. The filter weeds
out tweets from potential harassers based on
their previous online behavior. “These features
aren’t exactly new.” But until now, they have
been available only to users with “verified
accounts,” such as celebrities, media personalities,
and other Twitter power users.
